@Laura: Debbie's 3rd point reminds that you can keep it simple. Every blog post does not have to be a huge researched article. A blog post can be a picture of something you like, a list of the top 10 sites you like in a particular area, a recipe, a video that you like from YouTube, a picture of you and your friend at a networking event, a summary of a good book you like and recommend, etc. So, yes, I think you can research an in depth post every now and and make the rest of your posts short bursts of content that has meaning for your target reader.

Also, Laura, if you just started blogging a few weeks ago, don't be disappointed if people are not visiting and commenting in droves. Take some of the pressure off and just try to enjoy the process. It takes time, patience and dedication to build a readership. If your blog is interesting to your target audience and you promote it by using good key words, Twitter and other methods, people will begin to trust you slowly but surely, and they will begin to participate and tell their friends.

I hope this helps and I hope others will add some suggestions as well.

I just started a blog a couple weeks ago and like the idea that everything in Entrepreneurship takes time to do well. Unfortunately, I'm spending 2 hours on research and 2 hours on writting, plus another hour proofreading and promoting the link! So I must be doing something wrong? Maybe I just research for one post per week? I like to use research to support claims and add support for the ideas. Bad practice?
