Twitter

by Donna Maria

Hi! I’m Donna Maria and thanks for clicking the link at my Twitter page! If you are brand new to Twitter, you might enjoy this post welcoming you to “Twitter Preschool” or “TweeSchool.”

About This Blog

According to Black Enterprise Magazine, this blog is a “haven for small business owners,” and I think that’s an appropriate description. If you are interested specifically in social media, you will enjoy my Social Media Category filled with some of my best advice for how you can use Twitter and other social media resources to improve your life and your business.

Unless otherwise noted as a guest post or a credited quote, everything you read, hear and watch here is original content produced by me. I own the copyright. I generally blog in 5 categories: Small Business Advocacy, Fitness, Leadership, Success, Social Media, and the INDIE Business Book Club. I also have categories for my weekly live Indie Podcast, and Indie Cruise.

About Me

Donna MariaI am an attorney (I no longer practice), author, speaker, and award-winning small business mentor and coach. I am the founder and president of the Indie Beauty Network, a nationwide trade organization for small and independent business owners.

I help women around the world pursue their dreams of entrepreneurship as a lifestyle. I was recently nominated by the award-winning Small Biz Trends as a 2011 Small Business Influencer. American Express OPEN Forum named me one of 80 Small Business Twitterers You Should Be Following. Holly Hanna “Work At Home Woman” listed me as One of 25 Most Influential Women Tweeting About Entrepreneurship.

Since 2005, I have hosted and produced INDIE Business Podcast. To my knowledge, it is the longest running woman-hosted and produced small business podcast in the world. The US Small Business Administration recognized my work when it awarded me the US Small Business Administration Home-Based Business Advocate Of The Year in its Washington, DC District.

Twitter

I have been blogging formally since 2005, but have maintained online journal entries since 2001. I consider my Indie Business Twitter stream to be an extension of this blog and a fun way to stay in touch with you and others who want to learn how to maximize their potential through small business ownenrship. I maintain a more personal Twitter page here.

I invite you to follow my INDIE Beauty Network members on Twitter, using the IBN Twitter List. Just click “Follow” and you can quickly and easily be inspired by some of the nation’s most amazing entrepreneurs. Feel free to contact them to ask question about their products or if you are looking for interesting feature stories for your blog, podcast, or other publication.
