Do you believe in miracles?

Do you believe in the impossible? I mean really believe? Believe that if you put your mind to it and your back in it, you can do anything? I do. And so did Captain Chesley Sullenberger the pilot of US Airways Flight A320 when, with155 people on board, he floated his aircraft to a safe landing in the middle of the Hudson River after a flock of birds choked off and shut down both engines.

Can you imagine what might have happened if Captain Sullenberger had panicked? If he had seriously considered what all logic seemed to dictate — that his plane was doomed for a crash landing and the certain disater that goes along with that? But that's not what happened.

Instead, Captain Sullenberger's years of passion for flight and training kicked in. And when he was honored for being a hero after saving so many lives, Captain Sullengerber simply said he and his crew were only doing the jobs they were trained to do. What about you?

Are you tempted to give in to the fear and panic that is shaking so much of the business world today? What if you simply did what you were made to do? What if you focused on harnessing your talents, gifts and passions, channeling them in one direction, ignoring everyone who says that your only course of action is a crash landing? Perhaps like Captain Sullenberger, you have it in you to do the impossible. To rise above every negative thing that could thwart your progress and land right smack dab in the middle of your wildest dreams.

Just imagine the possibilities for a moment ….

And the roll up your sleeves and get to work.

Question: How does Captain Sullenberger's example of results under fire inspire you?

I love today’s Indie Business Minute! As often happens, it was a positive confirmation for me. I have been burdened with fear and doubt the last couple of days. This has caused me to lose sleep and has been almost paralyzing. I have been praying for God’s peace. God doesn’t give us fear, so I knew it wasn’t from him. Anyway, thank you for that. You just never know how you are going to touch people’s lives! And again, thanks for featuring me. Blessings, Candy :)

@Candance: Thanks for sharing here and for letting me use your pretty soaps in the Indie Business Minute! I’m so glad it was a positive confirmation. We all need that — I know I take every bit I can get. Let’s keep holding each other up and reminding each other that having a spirit of fear is a choice.
