IBTV Episode 9: I Am Indie Business

Sharing The True Meaning Of Indie

Everywhere I go, people want to know what "Indie" means. Sometimes they think I must be somehow associated with the professional racing circuit. Other times, they know that "indie" means "independent," but they want to know more. I created this segment to share the 5 concepts upon which Indie is based.

If this helped you further define your own "Indie-ness," please leave a comment behind to let us know how it impacted you.

Donna Maria,
Sharing the true meaning of being an Indie is something that I thought about this weekend. I was thinking of what each letter in the word INDIE meant. But, I only came up with Independent, and Networking. To see this article this morning I found wonderful and felt that as an Indie somehow we are all in tune with each others thoughts. Thank you for the great article and reinforcement of what an Indie is. Best Regards, Wendy Goudie

Wendy,

It is amazing how much Indies have in common. We're never alone, always joined together by a desire to do what we love and put food on the table. You are so right that networking is a part of the whole thing. One thing I have found is that networking comes so naturally to Indies. Creating "buzz" doesn't, so I feel strongly that it needs to be emphasized. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to share your thoughts.
