Thank you Donna Maria for this video blog. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with growing my business. Whenever I begin to lose focus or get to feeling the "I can't do this" blues coming on, I dig through archives of yours or the timing of a newsletter hits just right to lift me from that funk. I have plenty of help and support though and I will be requiring even more I'm sure.
YOGA Magazine contacted us for a feature piece in the February '08 Issue and they cited Indie as the reference for learning about our company, and CNN news inquired with us about the future of our company in Going Green "The Future of Mineral Makeup in the Cosmetic Industry". They interviewed companies providing chemical free products. Nothing finalized however. Strawberry Fields and Spas around the country including one in France also are interested in carrying our products for the new year. Despite the rush of sudden recognition in one month, I am keeping my focus on moving forward with product growth, including our vegan friendly lip colors. One thing I have learned, even though it is very exciting, you can't let the promise of something distract you from your objectives, since inquiries are not actual sales. I am Learning patience each day!
Even though I love to bring my customers products to assist with skin care issues, none of it matters without those customers. I love hearing from them and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for them. If they have a problem with something or are needing assistance with an order, just want to chat a bit, or send me an email of thanks, it makes my day complete. That is why I began a blog as well, back in December '07, since I want to interact more with my customer base and allow them an opportunity to comment if they choose. I always invite feedback whether negative or positive so I can learn from them and what their future needs might be. The internet can be so impersonal, orders come in, you fill them, send them out, money goes in the bank and all this happens without a face to the purchase. I would love to know all of my customers in a more personal way.
I love your Blog and the ones' you reference. Thanks so much for starting your business in 2000 as it has offered me great insight to avoiding mistakes and/ or correcting the ones' I've made...quickly!
Happy New Year!

Hi dM,
I'm totally ready to Aim and Fire! I've made a commitment this year to work more 'on' my business and less 'in' my business. Of course this will be implemented slowly since I have another full time career but one thing I have learned is to be patient and that things will be implemented at the right time. I am also working more on awakening my inner purpose which will flow right into my outer purpose and enhance my customer's experience. I'm very excited and thanks to you and all the other great indies I've been lucky to work with, my dream will come true! Being open, following and believing in your passion and knowing that you are empowered to make it all work truly makes life flow with ease.
