51 Great Topics For Your Newsletter (Or Blog)

Get More Readers With These Health, Beauty, Lifestyle and Family Topics

Last night's group coaching was, in a word, "fantastic"! (To find out how to join next week's session, click here.) Throughout this month, every Thursday night, we've been talking about the who, what, where, when and how of newsletter publishing. I can't wait to see all the great newsletters I'll be subscribed to now.

By popular demand, I am posting the 51 Great Topics For Your Newsletter that I shared on last night's call. While these topics are perfect for Indie Beauty businesses, most of them are also suitable for any woman-owned Indie business. We'll be covering blogging during the month of March, and you can use most of these topics for your blog as well! In either case, you are informing and entertaining your readers while also creating conversations that encourage your readers to buy your products.

8 Ways To Get More Newsletter Subscribers

Connecting With More People Increases Your Bottom Line

One question I get over and over again is how I got thousands of subscribers to my email newsletter. The answer is: I got to know my customers and consistently filled my newsletter with information they enjoy reading.

Lots of people ask me this question after they've published a newsletter 2 or 3 times over a 3 month period and are wondering why things aren't "clicking." It's not rocket science, but there is a technique to it, staring with committing to actually publish your newsletter on a regular basis, and not just 2 or 3 times every quarter. Let's examine this in more detail.

How To Give Away Free Stuff ...

Without Breaking The Bank

Thursday night's group coaching sessions was incredible. While I'm told by everyone in attenance that it was an excellent investment of time, the best part is that everyone found a way to contribute something unique to the conversation. We were all uplifted and encouraged.

This month, we're launching and improving email newsletters. What a great time of creativity and collabroation! Nothing gets creative juices going as much as a bunch of Indies sharing ideas, experiences and tips, and inspiring one another to new heights. To learn more about group coaching, click here.

During the session, Indie Beauty Network member Rachel Lane of Barcelona Bath and Body told me that she missed the Trivia Question I used to include in each issue of my newsletter, the Indie Experience. I stopped the feature after 6 years because I was running out of good trivia questions and because it was a pretty big hassle to get to the post office weekly to mail out a a prize for the winner.

Increase Your Sales With Email Newsletters

Why Email Newsletters Work

Last week, I spoke with an Indie who said that one of the things she learned on Indie Business Radio is the importance of having an email newsletter. She emailed me to tell me that she got a sale just hours after sending out her first ever email newsletter. It was the first sale she'd had in 10 days.

I can't imagine going without a sale for 10 days. But that's probably because I have an email newsletter. If you don't have one, you should. Here's why.
