Roberta Perry of Scrubz Body Scrub On Indie Shopping TV

I had so much fun with Roberta as we featured her "scrubz" and "oilz" on Indie Shopping TV. Roberta's 20% discount offered on the show is extended through January 31 so if you want some deliciousness, get some at her website. This is the edited version of the show, from the LIVE 30-minute version. Enjoy the show!

Lisa Stewart of EC Stewart on Indie Shopping!

I just realized that I forgot to share the edited version of Lisa Stewart's guest appearance on Indie Shopping.TV. To enjoy the show, click on the arrow in the player below.

You can watch the full, unedited 30 minute version of the show at this link. It's funny to see myself in the Santa hat that I started this show wearing. It was taped LIVE on December 19, just 6 days before Christmas. Funny, it seems like Christmas was just yesterday! Hope you enjoy the show!

Indie Roberta Perry of Scrubz on Indie Shopping.TV

Last week, the sweet sugar "scrubz" of Roberta Perry of Scrubz Body Scrub were showcased on Indie Shopping.TV. If you missed the show, you can watch the full 30-minute unedited recorded version of the LIVE show by clicking the player below.

The edited version of the show, approximately 10 minutes long, will be available in a few days and I'll post it here for you to enjoy.

Of her first Indie Shopping experience, Roberta said: "I had a blast doing the show and look forward to the next one. I loved the concept of Indie Shopping TV from the start, knowing that the larger shopping networks have margins I am not able to meet yet, and cost so much more. The "homey" quality of the camaraderie in the chat room, and connecting with other Indies created a wonderful environment for shopping and learning. I recommend the show and will continue to do so!"

Roberta has extended and expanded the discount offered on the show! From now until January 31, 2009, you can get 20% off your order! Just log onto the Scrubz website and at checkout, put INDIE in the promo code area and update your cart.

I invite you to enjoy all of the Indie Shopping TV shows at our Indie Shopping TV Show Archive and also see the upcoming show schedule and connect with other like-minded people who love to "click, chat and buy" their favorite Indie and handmade products!

What A Difference Sony High Definition Makes!!

As I mentioned yesterday, instead of relying on UStream's recordings of our vignettes, we now capture them from start to finish ourselves so we have a higher quality finished product to share with you. Here's yesterday's show, captured by our high definition camera as it was broadcast live on UStream. To watch, click on the arrow in the player below.

If you watch the video featured in yesterday's post (the top video in that post), which streams from UStream's website, you can see why it's so much better to use the recording from our superior quality Sony high definition video camera. UStream allows us to broadcast live, while our camera allows us to capture and combine rich and colorful video with clear audio so you get a seamless experience.

Indie Shopping TV: Vignette #3 (Video)

Indie Shopping TV Features Bidwell Botanicals, Cactus & Ivy and Soapylove

Happy New Year! Once again, I continue to fun learning how to use Ustream to bring you Indie Shopping Network TV live all week. We are true pioneers, using brand new technologies to bring you the first Internet shopping portal of it's kind. While we are excited to use Ustream's cutting edge technology, I am discovering a few glitches, including that when Internet traffic is heavy in your area or when Ustream is running slow, there are gaps in the recorded audio and/or video stream, or it may play with a delay, or not at all. (We do not have to rely only on Ustream for our recorded video, so these limitations need not constrain us. You can read more about that below.) In the meantime, I hope that when you read this, it's working fine. If not, reload the page. If that doesn't work, please return later to enjoy the stream. To do so now, click the arrow in the player below to enjoy yesterday's show. (Update: in the alternative, you can also scroll down to see a segment we did using our own hi def camera and editing equipment!)

UStream's streaming limitations do not prevent us from creating smooth flowing edited versions of the show for Indies who request that. To do this, beginning tomorrow, we are going to record each show not only via Ustream's service but also using our professional Sony High Definition Video camera. This will allow us to compress and upload our own recording so we do not continue to have this problem. For featured Indies who request it, we can also professionally edit our recording to create a recording with subtitles that include their names, website address, etc., that they can use can use at their websites that do not have Ustream's limitations.

UPDATE: January 2, 2009: I want you to see what a difference there is between Ustream's recording and ours so here's a segment of the show that we edited after recording using our hi def camera. Click on the arrow in the player to see what a difference there is!

I thought about removing the ustream recording, but decided to keep both of them so you could see the difference.
