indie business revolution

Iam pleased to announce the final Indie Business Revolution event of the year! It will take place at the lovely Bay 13 Restaurant in Portland’s hip Pearl District on November 14 from 6:00 to 9:00. Portland is one of my favorite cities, in part because two of my favorite woman business owners live there. They’ll be joining me and I hope you will too! We will be speaking on the topic, “A Woman’s Guide to Beauty Business Excellence.” My special guests are Kayla Fioravanti and Monique Hayward.

Here is a picture of Debbie and I showing off her book, which I highly recommend you purchase if you want to make the most of your blog.

Here are a few of them. Continue Reading…

At last Saturday’s Indie Business Revolution: Raleigh, co-sponsored by the Carolina Mixed Media Artists Guild, I met with with dozens of artisans, crafters and independent business owners in various stages of their small business journeys. Events like these confirm a thousand times over that I am indeed doing what I am called to do: help people maximize their potential through small business ownership. Here’s a group shot of most of some of the attendees.

Lisa Stewart of EC Stewart joined us to share how she uses social media to spread the word about the artwork she and her business partner husband produce in their Raleigh, North Carolina, studio. You can enjoy the entire event photo album at the Indie Business Facebook Fan Page. In my opening remarks, I shared some of the reasons I enjoy being a small business owner. Maybe some of them resonate with you. Continue Reading…
